If you don’t already know California, as well as many other states, enacted a “hands-free” law making talking on your cell phone without a hands-free device illegal. Well Audio Unlimited has just introduced their new Fone-Doc Hands-Free Speaker for the iPhone and the iPhone 3GS. The Fone-Doc uses a dock that cradles the iPhone on the right side of the setup and has an NXT flat panel speaker next to is to play audio so you can hear people talking to you. We don’t see anything plugged into the iPhones headphone jack so we’re assuming everything is done via the iPhone dock.
The Fone-Doc can be mounted onto your cars windshield visor via the metal clips included or placed on a table for use at home or in the office. The device also features a 3.5mm input jack to connect other types of decivces, an auto sleep mode, and an auto activation for inbound and outbound calls as well as for media playback. It is available now for $70. While I like the concept, and I see this as a good idea for those on the road a lot, I would just rather use the included earbuds/mic from Apple.
