If you have updated your iOS device [iPhone 4, iPhone 3G[S], iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch] you will notice there is not much of a change in the 4.3.5 release except ‘exploit fixes’ in the pdfs that allowed sites like Jailbreakme.com to work. So with that being said, THIS IS A TETHERED JAILBREAK. Meaning any time you need to turn off your device for any reason, you will need to boot with a jailbreak program on your cpu.
Download firmware 4.3.4 for your device! NOT 4.3.5
Reason being, Redsnow does not recognize 4.3.5, but it does 4.3.4. and it will work just the same.
Direct Download Links for iOS 4.3.4 (Official from Apple)
Download Redsn0w 0.9.8b4 for Windows or Mac.
Run Redsn0w 0.9.8b4 for Windows or Mac and follow directions.
If you have jailbroken a device before, you know this process like the back of your hand. Browse to the .ipsw file you downloaded in step one. It is verified and then you are asked to follow the directions to put your phone in to DFU mode. Sync your device in to the computer. The easiest way to do is to NOT TURN OFF DEVICE, and hold both home and power button simultaneously until the device turns black. At this point you will release the power button WITHOUT releasing the home button. The software will realize it is in DFU mode and start streaming the jailbreak. Once it is done it will restart without booting.
Run Redsn0w 0.9.8b4 for Windows or Mac again.
Repeat step three of loading up the ipsw, but this time choose ‘just boot’ instead of the jailbreak option. Once again put your phone in DFU mode and when finished you should be booted into your new iOS 4.3.5 with cydia on the dashboard.
